What can go wrong?

What can go wrong?

This is high frequency equipment. Shielding and grounding is very important. Follow the instructions from Spektrotek to the detail, unless you know what you are doing. If you don’t follow the recipe, you may overheat the STW20NK50Z mosfet or the IRF730 power transistor and you have to replace them. In rare conditions you may also destroy the power supply, however that will require some serious malfunction.

If you substitute parts for others, deviate from the instructions or change something, you might get interference. Interference is when energy from the tube is picked up by some components. This usually manifests in the form of heated components, noise in the circuit, unstable tube light. The circuits are very tolerant, but there is a limit to everything, and too much interference will cause a something to overheat and break down. More tips about interference in the troubleshooting section.
