1. Plasma controller

Previous

The plasma controller is the brains in the system. The controller receives the treatment frequency from the generator, mixes it with a carrier frequency and outputs the high voltage signal to light the plasma tube.

PA3 - $265

The PA3 will accept input from almost any frequency generator. Just switch on and it is ready to go. It can drive any of the plasma tubes described later.

Price: $265 with heat sink and fan, assembled and tested.

[Also available as a kit for the technically skilled. You must supply your own heat sink and fan]

SPA4 - $350

The SPA4 will accept input from almost any frequency generator, in addition to audio input signal as well. This comes at a cost, added complexity and several switches are required for the audio processing part.

Price: $350 with heat sink and fan, assembled and tested.

[Also available as a kit for the technically skilled. You must supply your own heat sink and fan]

Recommendation

PA3 and SPA4 are equally powerful, but the PA3 is recommended for less complexity, easier to use, less chances of problems and lower price. Most people don’t use audio input at all.

The STW mosfet (a component) in the SPA4 can overheat in seconds if the audio control switches are set in the wrong combination. The PA3 don’t have those switches. Keeping it simple is always better.

My recommendation: PA3 with heat sink and fan, assembled and tested. US$ 265 + shipping.
